This will give you an idea of what the kid's attice will look like. You can imagine a stairway/ladder at about the angle of the 2x10 leaning against the scaffolding. Then, imaging a rail that will keep your precious ones from falling from the stairway and the landing. The large opening will be closed up with a removable wall section. Having this larger access will enable us to get larger items into the attic. Can you imagine this with some miniature furniture, a toy box... ...a little TV playing Barnie or Veggie Tales or whatever?
I think that there will be many years of happy memories made in this fun playroom. Looking at these pictures reminds me of Granny's playhouse, basement, and treehouse. Such sweet times.
Claud asked Jess if she was jealous because we did not have this for them. She said yes, then began to recount the mudpies in the greenhouse and the playing in the treehouse. I told her we would give her lots of time with the little ones in the attic.
